Maureen 's Story
Live each day to it's fullest! That's what I live by. Life is very short. My husband and I have now been married 44yrs.. We have two beautiful grown children, Kelly and Ben. They represent their generation with pride, honor and a heartfelt, soulful presence. My husband, Clyde, retired in 1991 from the City of LA. I worked for UCLA as a Medical, and Biology Transcriber for 10 years. In my spare time, I taught porcelain doll making, learned to play the harp and went camping a lot with my family. We also were avid golfers. When my husband retired, we moved to Prescott, AZ. We bought 2 beautiful acres in the mtns. with pine trees and 200 yr. old oaks. We had a unique custom house built and lived in bliss...Expand for more
for 13 years. My health had been unpredictable for years, but we still managed well. As things happen, my illness became problematic so we had to give up our home. We found a small house but still felt very blessed. We have a lot of new friends and can still see the stars. My 2 children had moved back to CA, tried to make a living but found it difficult and missed the clean air of AZ. They moved back to Prescott. How great is that, to have your grown children next to you! Now we just take it one day at a time and thank God for each one of those days and life is good. My daughter was married in October of 2009! The ceremony took place in an Apple Orchard against the gorgeous red rock Sedona Cliffs.
